  • Biography:  Tom was a marksman and adventurer; the last Aussie Busman. he lived like a hermit. During the Second World War he saw active service with 7th Division in the Middle East and in New Guinea, gaining a reputation as a marksman. After the war he took on about 9000 acres of ring barking - Box country - on Bicton Station, 45 miles south-east of Charleville. Tom had emphysema and shot himself in 1986.
