Mary Burgum was born in 1814 to
John Burgum and
Elizabeth Burgum. She was baptised on 9th June 1814 at Ruabon, in Denbighshire. The family were living at Cefn Mawr, near Ruabon, where John almost certainly worked in one of several blast furnaces or forges that existed there.

Amelia (Millington) Burgum was born in Birmingham in about 1819. She married
George Burgum at St Philips Church, in Birmingham, Warwickshire, on 3rd June 1838. Together they had 8 children Hannah, Elizabeth, Joseph, George, John, William, Jane and Amelia.
Amelia died at Edmonton, in London, in 1894 and the age of 75.
Hannah Burgum was born in April 1839. Her parents, George and Amelia Burgum, baptised her on 23rd May 1839. In 1861 she was working as a house servant to Patrick Thompson, a Wine Merchant, at 14, The Crescent, in Birmingham. In 1868 she married William Gill at West Bromwich, whilst living in Holford, near Perry Barr, Birmingham.
George Henry Burgum was born 5th April 1843 in Birmingham. His parents were
George Burgum and
Amelia (Millington) Burgum. He was baptised 26th April 1843. In 1861 he was working as a gun stocker and still living in the family home at Oldfield Cottage, in West Bromwich, Staffordshire. In 1871 he was living with his brother
John Burgum at Turners Cottage, Medcalf Road, Enfield, Middlesex. By then he was working as a gun barrel rifler. In 1901, age 57, he was living at Oxford Villas, High Road, Wormley, in Hertfordshire, working as a gun maker fitter. George died aged 73 and was buried on 26th September 1916 at Perr Barr St Johns Church, in Birmingham.
John Burgum was born in 1845 in Birmingham. His parents were
George Burgum and
Amelia (Millington) Burgum. By the age of 16 (1861) he was working as a gun bar machiner. On 2nd June 1868 he married
Sarah Dudley at Perry Barr, in Birmingham. In the 1871 census he was living at Turners Cottages, Medcalf Road,, Enfield, in Middlesex and was working as a gun borer. Ten years later and he was back in Birmingham at 18 Spooner Street, Nechells, Birmingham, and was working as a coal merchant.
Sarah (Sally) Dudley was born at Dudley Port, Staffordshire in 1846. She married
John Burgum on 2nd June 1868 at Perry Barr, Birmingham. Together they had three children John Ernest Burgum, Louisa Amelia Burgum and Edith Lizzie Burgum. She died on 16th February 1903.
Elizabeth Burgum Harris was born 17th May 1841 at 124 Great Barr Street, Aston, Deritend, Warwickshire. She married William Harris on 15th April 1865 at Perry Barr St Johns Church.

William Burgum was born on 4th June 1847 at Aston, near Birmingham, to parents
George Burgum and
Amelia (Millington) Burgum. He was baptised on 28th June 1847. He married Emma Simpson on 2nd August 1873 at St Peters Church, Derby. Together they had four children; Annie Mary, Lilian Emily, William Henry and George Albert. William died in 1926.
His will read as follows -
This is the last will and testament of me, William Burgum of 8 Beaufort Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham in the county of Warwick. Retired coal merchant, made this day 1st November 1923. My daughter Lilian Emily and son William Henry to act as Executors. I give to Lilian Emily 8 Beaufort Road, also 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40 and 42 Fulham Road, Sparkhill, 67, 68, 69, 70 Newton Road, 160 Stoney Lane, Sparkhill, 58, 60 Oakfield Road and 18, 20 Beaconsfield Road, Balsall Heath; also 47, 51, 53 and 55 Chestnut Road, Moseley. I also give and bequeath to WL-48 William Burgum my son William the following properties: 39, 40, 41, 42 Milton Street, Summer Lane and the four at the back, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122, 124 Stoney Lane, Sparkhill, 127, 129, 131, 133, 135 Brunswick Road and 15 1/2 White Street, Balsall Heath. Insurances and monies to be divided equally.
Jane and Amelia Burgum. The two sisters were born in 1850 and 1852.

John Burgum was born on 28th August 1925, in Birmingham, to parents William and Florence Burgum. John married Brenda Saunders on 28th August 1948. They had two children. John died in Birmingham on 1st October 2011.
